We inspire curiosity about Jewish heritage and culture by elevating the stories of real humans, real challenges, and real opportunities to construct a shared vision for action and ultimately, change in how Non-Jews and Jews relate to one another.
We believe antisemitism is the result of people not being connected with one another, and therefore no longer seeing each other as human. Our differences and the unknown become separators… instead of invigorators of curiosity and connection. We aim to turn that upside down.

Motivated by his family’s story and journey during the Holocaust and the non-Jews who made his life possible after the Holocaust, Mike Igel feels a responsibility and a calling to bring people together to explore critical conversations and modern topics related to antisemitism and Jewish heritage. Mike is a storyteller, connector, and translator of these topics.
our name
The name unelicited was chosen for this initiative because antisemitism is not caused by someone being Jewish. No one seeks or elicits that type of bigotry or hate.
The word elicit is bolded within our name because we seek to change that, to bring about different ideas and ideals, changing cultural and societal viewpoints and systems.
The dots above the “i” letters signify both that it takes individual humans in relationship with one another to create this change, and that each of us must take individual responsibility to build those relationships.
